Lead the Future of Veterinary Care at Piper Creek Veterinary Clinic

Piper Creek Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced doctor to move into our Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) role to lead our thriving, collaborative practice in Red Deer, Alberta. Whether you’re an experienced leader or a seasoned Associate ready to take the next step, this is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a practice within a supportive, community-focused environment.

Our team is composed of passionate professionals who are committed to celebrating the human-animal bond and supporting one another in a clinic that truly feels like home. We are looking for a leader who can provide mentorship, medical direction and dedication to our Standards of Care.

Why Join Us?

As the Managing Veterinarian, you will play a pivotal role in our success. You will create a culture of teamwork and servant leadership while working closely with your Hospital Manager as part of the Hospital Leadership Team (HLT). Together, you will oversee financial performance, general hospital operations, and regulatory compliance, with guidance from divisional leadership.

What We Offer:

  • Support to Thrive: Be part of the tight-knit NVA Canada network, where you’ll collaborate with a community of MDVMs and have access to resources and mentorship to support your leadership journey.
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: We offer a highly competitive total compensation package based on experience, inclusive of leadership compensation and potential production bonuses. This is complemented by comprehensive health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, a generous continuing education allowance, and paid vacation.
  • Professional Development: Paid continuing education opportunities, leadership training, and support for specialized interests.
  • Supportive & Passionate Team: A cohesive group of skilled professionals where RVTs are empowered to utilize their full range of skills, CSRs provide top-tier client service, and together, they create an efficient and high-quality care environment.
  • A Place to Call Home: If you love the outdoors, Red Deer is your perfect destination. The city boasts over 110 kilometers of trails winding through lush green spaces, connecting parks, playgrounds, and natural areas like Waskasoo Park. Activities like cycling, golfing, cross-country skiing, skating and snowshoeing and exploring vibrant farmers markets are just some of the things you will have at your front door. A 2.5 hour drive will see you nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Banff, Alberta.

Whether you're passionate about mentorship, progressive care, or building a positive team culture, this is a clinic where your leadership will truly make an impact.
