Sherwood Park Animal Hospital is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Animal Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, a strong team player, and dedicated to providing excellent client service and patient support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Perform technical tasks such as blood collection, cytology, urinalysis, and other lab work
• Take and process radiographs, including dental x-rays
• Provide anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery support
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records
• Educate and support clients on pet care, nutrition, medication, and post-operative instructions
• Ensure that treatment areas, equipment, and workstations are clean, organized, and well-maintained
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and professional work environment
• Follow clinic protocols for safety, hygiene, and patient care
